The set from the Polish company MASTER holds five turned metal angle-of-attack probes of the US type in 1:32 scale. It is not an aircraft model but a fine detailing accessory which replaces coarse or missing plastic probes from the box with a faithful metal replacement. The metal parts are strong, they keep their shape and they stand up to handling better than thin plastic moldings.
The angle-of-attack probe is a sensor on the fuselage of an aircraft which measures the angle between the longitudinal axis of the aircraft and the oncoming airflow. Probes of the US type appear on a number of fighter and combat aircraft in the service of the USA and friendly countries. A package of five pieces makes it possible to fit several models or to keep a spare in case the small part is lost.
Drill a hole in the place of the original plastic probe and glue the metal probe in with cyanoacrylate glue (super glue). Before painting, degrease the part and go over it with a metal primer. Thanks to the strength of the metal, the probe stands up better to being broken off during the further assembly of the model.
This is a detailing accessory, not a standalone model. The base kit, glue and paints are not included in the package.
