Armory 1:32 B-24 Liberator, type c wheels with a weighted tire effect is a resin set with two types of nose wheel, a printed mudguard and photo-etched hubcaps.
Responsibility details are not available.
A set of replacement wheels for a four-engine bomber in 1:32 scale. The main wheels are cast with a weighted tire effect, that is with the contact patch flattened the way the weight of a standing aircraft compresses it. According to the name, the set also contains two types of nose wheel, a mudguard made by three-dimensional printing and photo-etched hubcaps. This variant carries the type c designation and differs from the other versions in the type of tire, so compare before you buy what wheels the machine you are building had.
The B-24 Liberator was a four-engine bomber with a high-mounted slender wing, twin vertical tails and nose landing gear. It was built in large numbers and in a long line of versions that differed in armament as well as equipment. On a model in a large scale the landing gear is a prominent element: the wheels are clearly visible on display, and their shape and seating determine the overall impression.
First wash the castings in lukewarm soapy water, so that the mold release residue disappears. Cut the casting blocks off with a saw or a knife, never snap them, and sand the area down after cutting. Protect your airways when sanding resin, best of all by sanding wet. They are glued with cyanoacrylate glue; cement for plastic will not help here. Flatten and degrease the photo-etched hubcaps so that they hold. Apply a primer before painting. Fit the wheels at the end and turn them so that the flattened area sits correctly on the base.
This is an accessory set, not a model of the aircraft. The kit, paints and glue are not included in the package.
