The Bell X-1 was an American experimental rocket aircraft, with which the speed of sound in controlled flight was exceeded for the first time in 1947. The bright orange variant became one of the icons of aviation history and is a popular subject with collectors and modelers alike.
Apply the decals onto a smooth gloss varnish and settle them with a softener so that they sit down on the surface. Press the airbrush masks carefully onto a dry and degreased surface so that paint does not run under the edge, and spray in thin layers. Remove the mask shortly after the paint has dried.
