An Eduard masking set in 1:32 scale for the Messerschmitt Bf 109F-4 model. Ready-cut self-adhesive shapes make spraying the cabin frames easier.
Responsibility details are not available.
The Bf 109F-4 is the version of the German fighter from the time when the type received an aerodynamically cleaned-up nose, rounded wingtips and a cantilever tailplane. Its armament consisted of two machine guns above the engine plus a cannon firing through the propeller hub. Machines of this version flew on the Eastern Front, in the Mediterranean and over North Africa and carried a wide variety of camouflage schemes, which makes it a rewarding subject for a more demanding paint job.
A fret of masking pieces in 1:32 scale, cut to finished shapes in self-adhesive material. The plan in the package shows where each piece belongs. Masks are made to fit a particular kit; the name does not identify it, and since Eduard makes several sets for the Bf 109F-4 in this scale, the manufacturer's part number is what identifies this one.
Wash the glazed surface and let it dry thoroughly. Stick the masks on before spraying, never onto dried paint, and press every edge down firmly; paint that has crept under is harder to repair than to mask. Spray several light coats. If paint does seep under a mask, scrape it away with a sharp toothpick while the coat is fresh. Pull the mask off at an angle to the edge of the part as soon as the paint is dry to the touch.
For the modeler who is building the Bf 109F-4 in 1:32 scale and does not want to cut the curved frames out of tape by hand. The package holds masking sheets as listed by the manufacturer; paints, thinner and glue are not included, unless stated otherwise.
