A set of photo-etched metal parts in 1:32 scale for a model of the German Bf 109 G-2 and G-4 fighter.
Responsibility details are not available.
A set of photo-etched metal parts intended for finishing a model of the German Messerschmitt Bf 109 fighter in the G-2 and G-4 versions. Photo-etch can do what injection-molded plastic cannot: the part is as thin as sheet metal would be in true scale, the edges are sharp and fine embossed detail stays legible even under paint.
It suits a modeler who wants to go beyond the contents of the box and concentrate on detail. In 1:32 scale the model is large and every thick plastic part shows on it, so replacing one with a photo-etched equivalent gains more visually than in small scales. The set is meant for a build for a display case as well as for a competition.
The parts are held on the fret by thin tabs. Separate them with a sharp blade on a hard surface, not by twisting, otherwise the part will buckle. Make the bends on a bending tool or pressed against the edge of a ruler, always along the marked groove. Metal cannot be joined with plastic cement, so use super glue, and a two-part one on larger parts. Before painting, degrease the parts and lay on a primer intended for metal, otherwise the paint will rub off while they are handled.
The box holds photo-etched parts. The kit, paints and glue are not included, unless stated otherwise.
