Eduard 1:32 Bf 109G masks is a die-cut self-adhesive masking set in kabuki tape for masking the glazing and wheels of a model of the German fighter. It is not a model but an accessory for clean painting.
Responsibility details are not available.
The set from the Czech maker Eduard contains precisely cut self-adhesive masks in Japanese kabuki tape for a model of the Messerschmitt Bf 109G fighter in 1:32 scale. It is neither a kit nor a finished model, but an accessory that makes masking for spraying paint easier and more accurate.
The masks are stuck onto the frames of the canopy and onto the wheel discs, so that after spraying the clear parts stay clear and the tires stay free of paint. Kabuki tape adapts well to curved shapes, holds tight and leaves no adhesive behind when peeled off. The canopy frames come out crisp and straight as a result, without cutting tape by hand.
The Messerschmitt Bf 109G, known by the nickname Gustav, was the most widely produced series of versions of the German fighter of the Second World War. It was powered by the Daimler-Benz DB 605 engine, and the machine served on every front from 1942 until the end of the war. Within the G series there were a number of sub-versions differing in armament and equipment.
The set contains only the cut-out masking parts. The model, paints and glue are not included in the package.
