This resin accessory from the Quickboost brand in 1:32 scale offers a precisely cast armament cover for a model of the German Messerschmitt Bf 110 heavy fighter in the C-1, C-2 and C-3 versions. It is not an aircraft kit but a replacement part that refines the lower forward fuselage and replaces a less faithful part from a plastic kit.
The Bf 110 was a twin-engine heavy fighter and fighter-bomber of the Luftwaffe. Its striking power was a battery of guns concentrated in the nose, covered by a separate panel. This armament cover differed slightly on the early versions of the C series; a faithfully cast part with fine engraving captures its shape and details better than a plastic component.
Wash the resin parts in lukewarm soapy water because of the mold release agent. Cut off the casting block with a saw or a knife, sand the surface and protect your airways when sanding resin. Replace the original part from the kit with the resin one and bond it with super glue (cyanoacrylate). Apply primer before painting for better paint adhesion.
It is supplied as a resin accessory for experienced modelers, not as a stand-alone kit. Paints, glue and the base model are not included in the package.
