Responsibility details are not available.
This resin and 3D-printed kit in the large scale of 1:32 from the manufacturer Lukgraph represents the Italian three-engine bomber of the First World War, the Caproni Ca.3. It is a resin kit for experienced modelers: it consists of cast and 3D-printed parts and it calls for a different procedure than ordinary injection-molded plastic. The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted; check the particular contents of the package against the manufacturer's current specification.
The Caproni Ca.3 was an Italian heavy bomber of the period of the First World War with a characteristic arrangement of three engines. It was a large biplane of mixed wood and fabric construction with a pair of tail booms. The machines of the Caproni series were among the first truly combat-capable strategic bombers and the Italian air arm committed them to raids on targets in the enemy's rear; they served with other users as well. A multi-man crew worked the bomb load and the defensive machine guns.
First wash the parts with lukewarm water and detergent, so that the remains of the mold release agent are removed, otherwise the paint will not hold. Cut the casting blocks off carefully and sand the areas; when sanding resin use respiratory protection, and ideally sand wet. For gluing the parts use super glue (cyanoacrylate, CA): ordinary cements for plastic do not work here. Before painting apply a primer, which unifies the surface and reveals any bubbles to be filled. The fine wood and fabric structures will stand out after a dark wash has been applied.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted, as a resin kit. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
