Die roten Flieger in 1:32 is a decal set from the Czech manufacturer Eduard. It is neither a model nor a kit but a sheet of markings for a finished and painted aircraft model.
Responsibility details are not available.
This 1:32 decal sheet from the Czech manufacturer Eduard carries the German title Die roten Flieger, meaning the red airmen. Eduard names its themed sheets in this shorthand way and the name alone says neither which type of aircraft is involved nor how many schemes the sheet contains. You will find that information in the instructions included with the set. What is certain is that this is an accessory for aircraft models in the large 1:32 scale, not a kit.
Decals serve to transfer national insignia, numbers, unit markings and personal markings onto a finished, painted model. Modelers buy them for two reasons: either they want to build a machine in a different finish from the one the base kit offers, or the decals from the box do not suit them and they are looking for a thinner carrier film and more accurate color registration.
The surface underneath has to be glossy; on matte paint air gets trapped under the decal and a white veil appears. Trim the sheet as closely around the motif as you can, soak it for a few seconds in lukewarm water and let it rest on a paper towel until the film releases by itself. Once you have slid it into place, blot the water away and use a decal softener so that the decal is drawn into the engraved lines. Finally, varnish the whole model with a matte or semi-gloss coat, which seals the edges of the film.
The package contains decals only. The model, paints and varnishes are not part of the delivery, unless stated otherwise.
