1:32 Douglas Boston Mk.IV seatbelts STEEL is an Eduard photo-etched steel seat harness for the crew seats of the British version.
Responsibility details are not available.
A set of photo-etched straps whose name gives steel directly as the material. It is made for the crew seats of the British version of the twin-engine Douglas. You are buying a standalone harness for completing the seats, not a kit of the aircraft.
An empty seat looks uninhabited on a finished model, even when the rest of the cockpit is decently equipped. A strap thrown over the seat back gives the scene scale and depth. In the large 1:32 scale the fineness of the shape of the fittings also comes into its own, which would be lost in smaller scales. The set is therefore one of the most effective small interventions that can be made in an interior.
Steel is formed less readily than brass, but the resulting shape holds. Make the bend over a cylindrical object and never bend a strap back and forth in one place, as it would snap there. Attach the fittings and buckles one by one and always let the joints dry before you go on to the next. If you paint the harness yourself, start with degreasing and a primer and apply the last coat only after forming, so that the paint does not crack in the bends. Seat the finished strap so that the end hangs freely over the edge of the seat.
The set deals with one item of equipment and does not allow for the other parts of the cockpit.
