Replacement ejection seats in resin for a model of the Eurofighter Typhoon in 1:32 scale. It is not a kit of the aircraft but a detail accessory for the cockpit. The decisive advantage of the set is that the seat belts are cast directly with the seat, which does away with the most tiresome part of the job, namely shaping straps from photo-etch or from foil and gluing them into the right natural shape. The seat is meanwhile the most conspicuous feature in a cockpit in a large scale, and everyone will look at it.
The Eurofighter Typhoon is a European multirole supersonic combat aircraft in a layout with a delta wing and canard foreplanes, developed and built in international cooperation between several European states. The pilot sits in a zero-zero ejection seat, that is one usable even at zero speed on the ground; the seat has pronounced side shaping of the backrest, an integrated headrest and a well worked out belt system that holds the body in place during ejection. The cockpit of the Typhoon is laid out in a modern way, with large displays and clean surfaces, so the seat dominates it visually.
Wash the castings in lukewarm soapy water and cut the casting blocks off with a saw. It is glued with cyanoacrylate glue (super glue). Paint them separately from the cockpit: the structure of the seat in a dark shade, the padding and the belts in different tones, the metal parts in a strong metallic shade. The belts stand out if you spray them lighter first and then give them a dark wash, because the transitions create the impression of fabric. Finally, fine dry brushing of the edges and a matte varnish keep the fabric parts from shining.
The set is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
