A resin detail set from the Aires company in 1:32 scale. This is not an aircraft model but an accessory intended to replace the stock seat in a corresponding A-7 Corsair II kit. The casting faithfully captures the shape of the shell as well as the belt harness of the ESCAPAC 1G-2 seat.
ESCAPAC is an American ejection seat from the Douglas company, used among other places in the LTV A-7 Corsair II ground-attack aircraft. The A-7D version was the land-based attack variant for the US Air Force. The Corsair II served as a subsonic strike aircraft with a large armament capacity. The seat is best seen on a model with the cabin canopy left open.
First wash the mold release agent off the parts, separate them carefully from the casting blocks and glue with cyanoacrylate glue (super glue). Protect your airways when sanding resin. The structure of the belts and buckles comes out well after painting and a fine emphasis with a wash.
This is a supplementary resin set, not a stand-alone model. The base kit, glue and paints are not included in the package.
