An add-on detail set from the Aires brand in 1:32 scale, meant to improve the cockpit of a model of the two-seat version of the Eurofighter Typhoon fighter. It is not an aircraft kit, but a set cast in resin that replaces the cockpit interior from the basic kit with a more faithful and more detailed rendering. The set tends to be completed with photo-etched parts and instrument decals.
The Eurofighter Typhoon is a modern European multirole fighter. The two-seat version has a cockpit with two seats in tandem. The resin set offers finely rendered cockpit tubs, instrument panels, ejection seats and side consoles, which markedly raise the level of detail over the plastic from the basic model.
First wash the resin parts free of mold release agent and cut off the casting blocks, ideally with a saw and with respiratory protection. Glue them with super glue (cyanoacrylate). Before you set them into the fuselage, check that the parts fit the cockpit space exactly, and adjust the adjoining surfaces if need be. Paint and weather the cockpit before closing the fuselage up.
This is an add-on resin set, not an aircraft model. The kit itself, paints and glue are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
