An add-on set for a build, not an aircraft model. The package holds a resin ejection seat with cast safety belts for the American North American F-100 Super Sabre fighter in the large 1:32 scale. Belts cast together with the seat do away with the need to make them from foil or photo-etch, which is by far the most laborious part of building an open cockpit. Quickboost is a brand of resin accessories produced by the Czech firm Aires.
The F-100 Super Sabre was an American fighter of the 1950s and the first production machine of the US Air Force able to exceed the speed of sound in level flight. Later it served mainly as an attack aircraft. In 1:32 scale the cockpit is big enough for the viewer to look into it as into a real cabin, and the seat with its belts is its focal point. An imperfect plastic part will therefore lower the impression of the whole model even when the rest of the airframe is carefully built.
Wash the seat in warm soapy water, so that the paint will hold on it. Cut the casting block under the seat pan off with a saw and level the surface by sanding wet. It pays to paint it before gluing it into the cockpit: first the base shade, then the belts and buckles separately, and finally a dark wash in the recesses and light dry shading of the edges. The seat is glued into the fuselage with super glue right at the end, so that it is not damaged during further handling. Before gluing it in, check dry that it fits under the closed or opened canopy.
The set is an accessory for a build, not a model in its own right. The parts are supplied unpainted; glue, paints and the base kit are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
