About product

A Quickboost type A refueling probe for the North American F-100 Super Sabre (1:32)

A resin detail accessory from the Quickboost brand, made by Aires, in 1:32 scale. It is not a model of the aircraft but a separate part with which you replace the coarser or simplified probe from a plastic kit. The type A refueling probe serves for taking on fuel in flight, and its fine rendering raises the fidelity of a finished model.

The real subject

The North American F-100 Super Sabre was an American supersonic fighter and fighter-bomber of the 1950s, the first of the so-called Century series. A fixed refueling probe allowed fuel to be taken on from flying tankers and extended the range of the machine.

Building tips

Wash the part free of mold release residue, separate the casting block carefully and glue it with super glue (cyanoacrylate). Wear respiratory protection while sanding.

Who it is for

  • For builders of the F-100 in 1:32 scale.
  • For anyone after higher detail without photo-etched parts.
  • The kit of the aircraft itself is not included in the package.

FAQ

No. This is a separate resin part that is used on a separately purchased plastic kit of the F-100 Super Sabre in 1:32 scale.

It is the probe for taking on fuel in flight from a tanker aircraft. The detailed resin rendering replaces the coarser plastic part from the kit.

Super glue (cyanoacrylate) is recommended, after cleaning the part of mold release residue and cutting off the casting block.
