This detail set brings a faithfully cast resin exhaust nozzle for a model of the North American F-100D Super Sabre fighter aircraft in 1:32 scale. This is not an aircraft model but an accessory for a kit for experienced modelers. The manufacturer is the Czech company Aires. The resin nozzle offers a fine inner structure and faithful edges, which injection-molded plastic often simplifies.
The North American F-100D Super Sabre was an American supersonic fighter and ground-attack aircraft of the fifties powered by a single jet engine with an afterburner. The exhaust nozzle at the tail of the fuselage is a striking and clearly visible element of a model.
Wash the mold release agent off the resin parts, cut off the casting blocks and sand the surfaces with respiratory protection. Glue the nozzle with cyanoacrylate glue. The metallic and heat-stressed shades come out well with metallic paints and a fine patina; stir the metallic paints well and apply them on a smooth base.
