A Quinta Studio set with a colored 3D printed cockpit interior for a model of the Japanese variant of the Starfighter. It will be appreciated by anyone who wants the pilot's station finished quickly and with clearly readable instruments and controls. The set is designed for the Italeri kit.
The F-104J was an interceptor of the Japan Air Self-Defense Force built under license by Mitsubishi. It derived from the export G version but was adapted for the role of a day interceptor: its armament consisted of a rotary cannon and short-range guided missiles, while the equipment for attacking ground targets was dropped. It stayed in service from the 1960s until the end of the 1980s and is among the best known Japanese machines of its era.
Before fitting anything, go through the instructions for the kit and think out the order of the steps; in a narrow cockpit it is hard to correct what has already been placed. Work over a light surface so that a tiny piece does not get away from you, and keep the areas dry and free of fingerprints. It pays to finish the cockpit completely before the canopy covers it. Before joining the fuselage, check once more that no surface stands above the plane of the surrounding walls and blocks the parts from coming together.
