HAD models F-14 Patches and helmet markings PART 4 — the fourth part of the decal range with squadron patches and helmet decoration for Tomcat crews in 1:32.
Responsibility details are not available.
The fourth continuation of the HAD models range brings a further dose of motifs for Tomcat crews: squadron patches and colored patterns for helmets in 1:32 scale. The set is created for large figures of pilots and radar operators, on whom a bare white helmet comes across as unfinished.
The two-seat F-14 Tomcat served with the US Navy for decades and its squadrons prided themselves on striking symbolism, from famous skulls to checkerboard fields. It is precisely this visual variety that makes the crews of Tomcats a rewarding subject for figures, and the PART 4 designation in the name suggests that the range extends the previous parts with further motifs.
First paint the figure completely and varnish the places intended for the motifs with gloss. Carry the individual decals on a moistened brush, press them into their final position with a soft tip and let them dry thoroughly. A final layer of varnish will unify the surface and protect the motifs during the rest of the build.
Keep the decal sheet flat, in the dry and out of direct light; the backing paper does not tolerate damp and a yellowed layer separates considerably worse. The patterns not used will serve on further figures, so do not cut the sheet up into pieces in advance and always take from it only the motif you need at the moment.
