A photo-etched accessory of brass sheet, which refines the details of the ejection seat of the F-14A Tomcat fighter in 1:32 scale. It is not an airplane model or a kit, but an add-on set for raising the realism of the cockpit.
The photo-etched parts complete the seat with the fine features that are hard to reproduce in plastic: seat belts, buckles, handles, levers and other small things. The result is a truer and more three-dimensional look to the seat, one of the most closely watched parts of an open cockpit.
The parts are separated with a sharp blade or shears for etching, formed with a bending tool and glued with super glue (cyanoacrylate). Pre-colored features only need to be pressed on carefully and fixed; the other metal surfaces are worth degreasing and treating with a base coat before spraying.
The accessory is supplied unassembled. The base model, glue and paints are not included in the package.
