A photo-etched set from the Czech maker Eduard meant for detailing the outer surface of a model of the F-16I Sufa fighter in 1:32 scale. The thin metal parts replace and supplement the features on the surface of the airframe that injection-molded plastic cannot capture finely enough. It is not an airplane model but an accessory for a plastic kit.
The set refines the exterior of a model, for example fine covers, grilles, panels, antennas and other small outer features. The result is a truer and more three-dimensional surface on a modern jet aircraft, which stands out after painting.
The F-16I Sufa is the Israeli two-seat version of the F-16 Fighting Falcon multirole fighter, adapted for long-range operations. Its characteristic features are the conformal fuel tanks on the spine of the fuselage and extended avionics. The word Sufa means storm in Hebrew.
Separate the parts with a sharp blade, form the bends with a bending tool or a ruler and glue with super glue (cyanoacrylate) or a glue for etching. Degrease the surface before gluing, and once a base coat has been applied paint the parts together with the model.
This is an add-on photo-etched set, not a complete model. The base kit, glue and paints are not included in the package.
