1:32 F-4 Phantom II ejection seats with belts are a resin accessory of the Quickboost brand that will replace the simplified seats from a plastic Phantom kit in 1:32 scale.

This is not an airplane model but a replacement part for the cockpit. The set from the Quickboost brand, which belongs to the Aires family, contains resin castings of the ejection seats for the F-4 Phantom II in 1:32 scale. The seat belts are shaped directly in the casting, so the most laborious part of the work on a seat falls away, namely putting belts together from photo-etch, foil or card.
In 1:32 scale the cockpit under an open canopy is very much on view. A seat from a conventional plastic mold usually has thick edges, soft relief and belts merely suggested by engraving. A resin casting holds a sharper rendering of the frame, the backrest and the equipment, and with cast belts the whole assembly comes across more convincingly even without further work. The accessory is fitted in place of the original part, so the work is mainly about a clean cut and precise seating in the cockpit tub.
Wash the parts first in lukewarm water with a drop of degreaser, so that the remains of the mold release agent disappear; otherwise paint holds badly. Cut the casting blocks off with a saw or a fine disc and never break them, as resin cracks. Do the sanding wet and with your airways protected, since resin dust is not to be breathed in. It is glued with super glue, as ordinary modeling cement does not react with resin. Apply a primer before painting. The belts stand out when you set them apart in shade from the shell of the seat, pick the metal buckles out with a dry brush and let a fine wash into the recesses.
The accessory is supplied unpainted, as a resin casting. Paints, glue and the base kit are not included in the package. We recommend verifying the match with your kit before buying.
