Eduard 1:32 F-5E is a set of self-adhesive die-cut masks for spraying the glazing and the wheels of an F-5E Tiger II fighter model precisely. It is not a kit but an accessory for the build.
Responsibility details are not available.
A set of self-adhesive masks from the Czech maker Eduard for a plastic model of the F-5E Tiger II light fighter in the large 1:32 scale. It is not a model of the aircraft: the carrier film holds machine-cut shapes that follow exactly the frames of the cockpit glazing and usually also circular masks for the tires of the landing gear wheels. The masks are stuck on, the model is sprayed and after drying they are peeled off — underneath, a clean clear or unpainted surface remains.
The Northrop F-5E Tiger II was a light supersonic fighter with a pair of small jet engines, designed as a simple, cheap and reliable machine for allied air forces. It served in dozens of countries and to this day it is used for training and as an aggressor aircraft simulating an opponent. Its cockpit has prominent framed glazing, so on a model in a large scale masking the frames is a fairly demanding discipline.
For modelers building the F-5E in a large scale, where every inaccuracy in a frame is clearly visible. The masks save hours of cutting tape and guarantee straight, sharp edges. In a large scale this difference shows even more than in the small scales.
It is an accessory for the build, not a model. Paints, glue and the base kit are not included in the package.
