A resin detail set from the Aires company in 1:32 scale. It is not an aircraft model but a set of faithful main landing gear bays for a matching F4U-1A Corsair kit. The castings bring the structure of the ribs, the lines and the walls that plastic parts usually only suggest.
The Vought F4U Corsair is an American carrier fighter of the Second World War and the Korean War, easily recognized by its inverted gull wing and its large radial engine. The F4U-1A version brought a raised pilot seat and a better view from the cockpit. The Corsair is one of the icons of American carrier aviation.
Wash the parts to remove mold release residue, separate them from the casting blocks and bond them with super glue (cyanoacrylate). Protect your airways when sanding resin. The bays come into their own once the base shade is painted, the edges are brought out with a dry brush and a wash is run into the recesses.
This is an accessory resin set, not a stand-alone model. The base kit, glue and paints are not included in the package.
