Metallic Details France seat belts WWII 1:32 is a set of 3D-printed seat belts for French aircraft of the Second World War. It is not an aircraft model but a detail accessory for a cockpit.
Responsibility details are not available.
The set brings pilot's seat belts in 1:32 scale, made by 3D printing. Compared with classic flat decals it offers real volume, so the belts faithfully follow the shape of the seat, the folds of the fabric and the hardware. It is a stand-alone accessory that the modeler adds to the cockpit of a kit under construction, not an aircraft model.
In the large scales the cockpit is the most closely watched part of a model, and the belts are the detail that gives away the level of the build at first glance. The maker shaped the set from period photographs of French Air Force aircraft of the Second World War, which included the Morane-Saulnier M.S.406, the Dewoitine D.520, the Bloch MB.150 and MB.170, the Potez 630 and the Liore et Olivier LeO 45. The belts are therefore fitting wherever you are building a French aircraft of that period in 1:32 scale.
Separate the parts with a sharp scalpel and work over a tray, as small pieces are easily lost. Tweezers and a spot of super glue are more comfortable than ordinary cement for plastic. Fit the belts only after the seat has been glued in, so that they hang naturally over the edges and above all are not stretched taut like a string. A loose, slightly wavy belt looks more realistic than one straightened flat. If you tone the belts, use only thin coats so that the fine detail of the buckles is not flooded.
This is an accessory for a model. The kit itself, glue and paints are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
