A figure of a French mechanic taking a rest in 1:32. It suits a diorama as well as an accessory to a single model in a display case.
Responsibility details are not available.
A resting mechanic is a rewarding motif. A figure that is not standing to attention but sitting or leaning gives a scene calm and at the same time gives it scale: only beside a figure is it apparent how big a machine is. A French mechanic suits a workshop setting, a field station and equipment of French manufacture.
A figure in 1:32. An adult standing around 175 centimeters tall works out in this scale at roughly five and a half centimeters, so even the expression of the face and the folds of the clothing stand out on it. The number of parts and the extent of the package are given by the manufacturer in the instructions.
First wash the figure in lukewarm water with a drop of detergent and let it dry; on a degreased surface paint holds considerably better. Then apply a thin base layer, which evens the surface out and shows the places where sanding is still needed. Paint the face and hands in layers from a darker tone to a lighter one, leaving the shadows in the hollows and bringing the highlights out on the raised places. Leave the eyes for the very end and work with the finest brush you have. Weather the clothing sparingly: a mechanic should be dirty from work, not buried in dust.
Paints, brushes, a base and a model of equipment are not part of the delivery, unless stated otherwise.
