Montex 1:32 Fw 190A-5 is a set of pre-cut self-adhesive masks for spraying a model in 1:32 scale. It is not a kit but an accessory for the Hasegawa kit.
Responsibility details are not available.
This set of masks from the Polish manufacturer Montex is meant for the large 1:32 scale and is used to cover areas that are to stay free of paint after spraying. The shapes are pre-cut to the outlines of the Hasegawa kit, so they only need to be peeled off and laid down. The item is not an aircraft kit: it is a modeling accessory used while building a model you already own.
The Focke-Wulf Fw 190A-5 was one of the production versions of the German single-engine fighter with the BMW 801 radial engine. Compared with the preceding version its engine mounting was somewhat lengthened, which shifted the center of gravity slightly and improved the aircraft's handling. The cockpit was a sliding canopy with fairly simple framing, together with a fixed armored windscreen.
A radial engine means that on this type the engine cowling and the propeller blades are often masked as well, not just the cockpit. Work from the largest areas to the smallest and add tape wherever the masks do not cover a whole area. Spray the paint in thin passes; in a large scale a short pause between coats pays off. Once the masks are off, hold the frames against the light and touch up any thin spots with a fine brush. Lift the masks slowly, otherwise paint may come away from the edge with them.
This is an add-on masking set, not a kit. The kit, paints and glue are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
