Eduard 1:32 Fw 190A-8 engine is a resin detail set of the engine for refining a model of the German Focke-Wulf Fw 190A-8 fighter. It is not a kit but an accessory.
Responsibility details are not available.
This resin set from Eduard in 1:32 scale holds a finely worked engine for a model of the German Focke-Wulf Fw 190A-8 fighter. It is not a stand-alone aircraft kit but a cast accessory that replaces the simplified engine of the base kit and allows the uncovered powerplant to be displayed realistically. Eduard is a Czech manufacturer with a wide range of modeling accessories.
The Focke-Wulf Fw 190 was among the most important German fighters of the Second World War. The A-8 was the most numerous variant of the A series and it was powered by the air-cooled BMW 801 radial engine. The uncovered engine with its exhaust and ancillary gear is one of the most attractive areas of the model.
Start by washing the mold release agent off the resin parts, cut the casting blocks away with a saw or a cutter and sand the surfaces smooth while protecting your airways. They are glued with cyanoacrylate glue (super glue). The engine comes into its own once the metallic shades are painted, the detail is brought out with a wash and the assembly is fitted under the opened cowling.
This is an add-on resin set, not a complete model. It requires the matching plastic kit; glue, paints and the base kit are not included in the package.
