A figure of a German military pilot of the Second World War in 1:32 scale. It will bring a model of an aircraft in a display case or an airfield scene to life.
Responsibility details are not available.
The figure represents a German military pilot from the period of the Second World War. Pilots wore a flying suit, leather or cloth helmets with goggles fitted and life vests for a flight, so even a standing figure carries enough detail to hold up beside a model. Next to an aircraft it moreover fills one more role: it gives the viewer a sense of scale, and only beside it does one realize how large the real machine was.
It is a figure in 1:32 scale, in which an adult human comes out at around 55 mm. At this size the folds of the clothing, the straps and the footwear are apparent and a scene will take a close look. The name gives one figure; how many parts are in the package, what pose it is in and what it is carrying is given by the manufacturer in the instructions.
Wash the parts in lukewarm water with a drop of detergent before painting and let them dry off, so that the paint holds. Cut the excess material and the marks of manufacture off with a sharp blade a little way from the part and sand the area with fine abrasive paper. Apply the paint in thin layers: first a flesh shade on the face and hands, then a darker tone into the folds and finally a light pass in a lighter shade over the edges, which will give the figure its three-dimensional quality. Leave the eyes for last and paint them with the thinnest brush you have.
It will be appreciated by a modeler who is building an aircraft in 1:32 scale and wants a crew beside it as well. Paints and glue are not included in the delivery, unless stated otherwise.
