Master Box 1:32 Greek Hoplite - Greco-Persian Wars, set No. 2 is an injection-molded plastic figure of a heavily armored foot soldier of ancient Greece for dioramas and for display on its own.
Responsibility details are not available.
The second set in the series of ancient warriors from Master Box brings another Greek hoplite in injection-molded plastic in 1:32 scale. The figure is in a different pose from set No. 1, which lets you put together an impressive group of soldiers, either as a display piece on its own or as part of a phalanx diorama. The model is made up of several parts and puts the emphasis on a faithful rendering of the armor and the equipment.
Hoplites made up the heavy infantry of the Greek city states during the Greco-Persian Wars at the beginning of the 5th century BC. They protected themselves with a bronze helmet, body armor and a large round hoplon shield, attacked with a long spear and used a short sword at close quarters. They fought in a tightly closed phalanx, whose strength lay in discipline and in mutually overlapping shields.
Separate the parts with a sharp knife, sand the parting seams and glue with liquid cement for plastic. We recommend a base coat with an airbrush, then bringing out the folds of the cloth and the details of the armor with washes and dry brushing. Bronze and iron equipment stands out with metallic paints and a patina, and the skin with fine layering of shades.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
