Resin ejection seats in 1:32 scale from the Czech manufacturer Aires. The set contains seats of the GRU-7A type intended for the versions of the F-14A aircraft and serves to raise the detail of a plastic kit. This is not an aircraft model but a detail accessory that replaces the simplified seats of a kit with faithfully worked parts with the belts, handles and mechanisms suggested. The package is usually complemented by fine photo-etched components.
The GRU-7A ejection seats were used in the American carrier-based F-14 Tomcat fighter, a two-seat aircraft with a variable-geometry wing. Since the Tomcat had a crew of two, the seats are supplied for both positions. A faithful execution of the seats markedly lifts the look of an open cockpit.
Wash the mold release agent off the parts, cut off the casting blocks and clean up the surfaces with respiratory protection. Glue with cyanoacrylate glue (super glue). Spray the seats with a base color first, separate the belts and the padding with shades and bring out the details with a dark wash and a dry brush.
The resin set is an accessory for a plastic kit, which is not part of the package. Glue, paints and the model itself are not part of the delivery, unless stated otherwise.
