A full-color instrument panel with inset dials for the large second-generation Hurricane, tuned to the Revell cockpit in 1:32 scale.
Responsibility details are not available.
The second series Hurricane received a Merlin XX with a single-stage two-speed supercharger in its nose and at a stroke improved at the altitudes where the older Mk.I ran out of breath. The subversion designated with the letter B carried twelve 7.7 mm machine guns spread through the wing, which made it a veritable floating battery against unprotected targets. From 1941 these machines flew as fighter-bombers over the Channel, escorted convoys, and hundreds of examples went by the northern route to the Soviet Union, where they served as far as beyond the Arctic Circle. Under the fabric covering of the rear fuselage, meanwhile, there was still a framework of tubes, that is technology from the 1930s.
The print is carried out in several layers one above the other, thanks to which the instruments have a perceptible depth, their glasses a gloss and the switches a shape. The coloring is finished and a brush is no longer needed. In British cockpits the panel tends to be full of small dials crowded close together, so the difference against a hand-painted part catches the eye immediately. The size was derived from the Revell cockpit in this scale, which the name of the item mentions.
Level the surface of the original panel with fine abrasive and go over it with matte black, so that no light plastic shines through beneath the part. Transfer the released part to its place wet, straighten it and only then gently draw the water off the edges. With large panels it pays to work in halves and to press the second side down only after the first has settled.
