1:32 Hawker Tempest Mk.II is an Xtradecal decal sheet with markings for models of the radial-engined version of the Tempest in 1:32 scale.

A standalone sheet of waterslide decals for models of the Hawker Tempest fighter in the Mk.II version in 1:32 scale. It serves for finishing off a completed model and is neither a kit nor an add-on set of parts. The large scale allows even the smaller items of the markings to be rendered legibly and sharply.
The Tempest Mk.II differed from the better known Mk.V version in its powerplant. Instead of the Napier Sabre H-24 engine it received the Bristol Centaurus radial, which changed the shape of the nose and the whole silhouette of the aircraft. The machine had a substantial laminar-flow wing and good performance at low altitude, and it reached squadron service only at the end of the war and in the post-war years. Tempest Mk.IIs later served outside Europe as well, among others with the air forces of southern Asia, and were given various camouflage and silver finishes.
Light codes and numbers on a dark base will test the covering power of any sheet. If the camouflage shows through the decal, the surest route is to lay two identical decals exactly over one another, or to put down beneath the first a finely sprayed area of white paint through a mask. On a smooth silver base the opposite applies, as every unevenness stands out, so polish and degrease the gloss coat before the decals.
