This is a resin accessory set from the Brassin line, not a kit of an aircraft. It holds a set of exhaust stacks in the form with three outlets and rounded mouths for models of the Supermarine Spitfire Mk.V fighter aircraft in 1:48 scale. It takes the place of the plastic exhausts with more accurate castings with the mouths drilled out.
The Spitfire Mk.V was among the most widespread versions of this legendary fighter with the Rolls-Royce Merlin engine. The exhausts protruding from the sides of the engine cowling existed in several forms; this set matches the type with three outlets and rounded mouths. Choosing the right type of exhaust matters for the fidelity of a particular machine.
Wash the mold release agent off the resin parts, cut the casting blocks away and clean them up. Glue with cyanoacrylate glue. Paint the exhausts in shades of burnt metal and bring them out with pigments or a wash. Protect your breathing while sanding resin.
The accessory is supplied unpainted and meant for further work. Glue, paints and the base kit are not included in the package.
