An accessory set from the Czech brand AML for modelers who want to build the Heinkel He 219 night fighter in the A-0 or A-2 version. Besides the conversion parts, the package also holds decals, so the finished machine gets the matching period markings. This is not a kit in its own right - the set reckons with a base He 219 model in 1:32 scale, which it extends and reworks into the chosen form. The conversion parts are shaped for the Revell kit.
The Heinkel He 219 Uhu was among the best night fighters of the Luftwaffe. The twin-engined machine with nose landing gear made its name on its very first combat sortie in June 1943, when Werner Streib shot down five British bombers in a single night. The pre-production A-0 aircraft reached the units even before the production A-2 version, and both types served mainly with the night fighter formations defending Reich territory against Allied raids.
Dry-fit every part first and true up any small overhangs with fine abrasive paper. Choose the glue according to the material of the individual parts; cyanoacrylate glue applied in small amounts with a pin is usually the safe universal answer. Lay the decals onto a polished gloss base and let them settle with a softening solution, then seal them with a coat of varnish once they are dry.
