A resin detail accessory from the Quickboost brand by Aires in 1:32 scale. The set replaces the exhaust stubs with the standard night pattern with flame damping, which kept the crew from being dazzled on night flights. It is not a model of the aircraft but an aftermarket accessory. This variant differs from the night exhausts of type A, B and C in the same line.
The Junkers Ju 87 Stuka was a German dive bomber of the Second World War. The D-5N version was meant for night work and carried reworked exhausts with flame dampers, so that the hot gases would not give the machine away in the dark.
Wash the parts free of mold release residue, cut off the casting blocks and glue them with super glue. Drilling out the mouths and shading them will bring the detail out.
