The detailed cockpit 1:32 Macchi C.205V serie I cockpit set from the manufacturer Aires will replace the plastic cockpit of the Italian fighter.
Responsibility details are not available.
A detail set from the Czech manufacturer Aires replaces the interior of the pilot's cockpit on a model of the Macchi C.205V Veltro fighter of the first production series. The resin castings carry stiffeners, instruments and controls in a depth that injected plastic cannot render. It is not a model of the aircraft but equipment for its fuselage.
The Veltro came about because the designer Mario Castoldi placed the licensed German DB 605 engine, known with Italian manufacturers as the Fiat RA.1050 RC.58 Tifone, into the airframe base of the C.202 type. The best Italian fighter aircraft of the Second World War came out of it. Machines of the first series intervened in the fighting over Sicily in 1943 and flew on after the declaration of the armistice as well, on both sides of the front.
The set calls for a more experienced hand. The fuselage has to be sanded from the inside, so that the tub of the cockpit sits without the halves springing apart, and dry trials pay off more often than with plastic. You join the resin parts with super glue; it sands wet and the dust must not be inhaled.
The set completes a finished kit; the kit itself is not included. The package contains no paints or super glue.
