This is not a model but a set of self-adhesive masking templates from the manufacturer New Ware for plastic models of the experimental Bell X-1 rocket aircraft in 1:32 scale. The masks are machine die-cut to close tolerances from kabuki paper, which follows shapes well and comes off after spraying with no adhesive residue. The EXPERT level is the most complete one: it holds masking for the cockpit frames on the outer and the inner side of the glazing (double-sided masking, known as TFace), the other clear parts and the landing gear wheels.
The Bell X-1 was an American experimental rocket aircraft with a fuselage shaped like a rifle bullet, and in 1947 it became the first machine to exceed the speed of sound in controlled flight. The recessed cockpit glazing with its frames paints cleanly and without bleeding when accurate masks are used.
This is an accessory for painting a model, not a kit. Paints, glue and the model are not included in the package.
