A photo-etched add-on set for a model of the Italian MC.202 Folgore fighter aircraft in 1:32 scale. The metal parts replace coarser plastic shapes with finer detail.
Responsibility details are not available.
The set belongs to a model of the MC.202 Folgore fighter aircraft in 1:32 scale and brings photo-etched metal additions. A large scale is merciless to detail: what is a trifle on a small model is an area here, on which every needlessly thick wall shows. Photo-etched metal measures only a fraction of what an injection-molded part can manage, and that is why it suits every place where an edge is to stay sharp and a wall thin.
The MC.202 Folgore is an Italian single-seat fighter aircraft of the Second World War. Its name means lightning in Italian. It came about by reworking an older type for a new powerplant and it was among the most successful Italian fighters of its time; it flew over the Mediterranean and over North Africa, so a varied range of color schemes can be looked up for it.
Cut the parts off the fret with a sharp blade pressed against a hard surface and level the remaining stub with a file. Make the bends along the marked grooves in a bending tool or between two rulers, always in one go. Metal is bonded with super glue applied in drops to the edge of the part, never in the middle of a visible area. Degrease the areas before gluing and go over them with primer before painting. Which parts replace which plastic sections is given in the manufacturer's instructions.
The aircraft kit, paints and glue are not included in the delivery, unless stated otherwise.
