About product

Eduard Brassin Me 262 Wheels 1:32

A resin set from the Brassin range by Eduard in 1:32 scale. It is not a model but a detail accessory. It replaces the plastic wheels of the kit with faithful castings of the tires and hubs, and the set covers both the main and the nose wheel. It is intended for models of the Messerschmitt Me 262, the first jet fighter to enter series service.

What the set is for

The Me 262 had tricycle landing gear, so the wheels are clearly visible on a model standing on the ground. The resin castings offer a fine tread, detailed hubs and often the effect of a loaded tire, which injected plastic lacks. The set sharpens one of the most visible details of the aircraft.

Usage tips

Wash the mold release residue off the resin parts, cut off the casting blocks and sand the surfaces with your airways protected. They are bonded with super glue (cyanoacrylate). Paint the tires matte, set the hubs apart and, if you like, bring them out with a wash.

Who the set is for

  • Builders of the Me 262 in 1:32 scale
  • Anyone interested in realistic landing gear with a nose wheel
  • Modelers used to working with resin

This is a detail accessory, not a model in its own right. It requires the matching base kit. Glue and paints are not included in the package.
