Eduard 1:32 Me 262A seatbelts STEEL are pre-printed steel photo-etched seat belts for the cockpit of models of the Me 262A jet fighter.
Responsibility details are not available.
The set contains the pilot's seat belts rendered as color photo-etch on steel sheet. Compared with brass the steel base is more flexible and holds the shape of a realistic sag of the belts better, so once installed they look like real fabric with fittings. The set is intended for the cockpit of models of the German Me 262A jet fighter in 1:32 scale.
The Messerschmitt Me 262 was the first jet fighter to be committed to service in series. With two Junkers Jumo 004 engines it served with the Luftwaffe at the end of the Second World War. Faithful seat belts are one of the first details anyone notices on an open cockpit.
Cut the steel belts out carefully, shape them with your fingers or tweezers into a natural sag and glue them with cyanoacrylate glue. The pre-printed surfaces are not overcoated, or they are only brought out with a dry weathering and a dark wash in the folds.
This is a cockpit accessory, not an airplane model. The base kit and the paints are not included in the package.
