Wheels in the Maxilite pattern for a model of the Alfa Romeo GTA, in the sixteen-inch size and with tires, in 1:24 scale.
Responsibility details are not available.
The GTA designation was carried by the lightweight sporting version of the Alfa Romeo coupe, built for competition. Weight was cut on it wherever possible, and a light wheel belonged to that as much as thinner body panels. Maxilite is the designation of the wheel pattern the set goes under.
Wheels in 1:24 scale and tires to go with them. The inch figure refers to the real car: sixteen inches is 406.4 mm, which in 1:24 scale works out to a rim diameter of just under seventeen millimeters. The set replaces the kit wheels and changes the character of the car more than most other accessories.
Assemble the wheel dry and try it in the wheel arch; only then glue it. Parts that are not polystyrene are joined with cyanoacrylate glue (super glue); solvent cement for plastic does not work on them. Cut the excess material away with a sharp blade a little clear of the part and sand the remainder down. Wash and degrease the parts and apply a primer before painting. The spoke pattern stands out when a darker shade is drawn into the recesses and the edges are lightly gone over with a dry brush.
For builders of historic Italian cars in 1:24 scale who are building the competition version and want a wheel to match it. The kit, paints and glue are not included, unless stated otherwise.
