A colored 3D interior decal in 1:32 scale from the maker Quinta Studio. It is not a model — it is a set of three-dimensionally shaped decals on backing paper which replace the instrument panels, the side consoles and other items of both cockpits of the two-seat trainer. The set is intended for the MiG-21UM plastic kit from the Trumpeter brand.
The MiG-21UM was a two-seat trainer derived from the supersonic MiG-21 fighter. It served to train pilots all over the world with a number of air forces and you can recognize it by the second cockpit with the protruding periscope for the instructor.
The elements are cut out of the sheet, soaked for about fifteen seconds in lukewarm water and slid off the backing paper onto the parts of the cockpit. They have no adhesive layer of their own — they hold on a surface coated with a gloss clear (Future, Klear, Tamiya X-22), and on broken-up places a drop of cyanoacrylate glue helps. The decals are color-printed in advance, so painting the dials is unnecessary. Do not use a decal softener or a decal fixer, as the chemicals attack the printed resin.
This is an interior accessory, not a kit. The model itself, paints and glue are not included — the set serves to detail the corresponding kit.
