Quickboost 1:32 MiG-23ML - covers and plugs with Remove Before Flight tags - a resin accessory for depicting a parked machine, for experienced modelers.
Responsibility details are not available.
A set of resin protective covers and plugs with Remove Before Flight warning tags for a model of the MiG-23ML fighter in 1:32 scale. The accessory from the Quickboost range by the Czech firm Aires makes it possible to depict the aircraft as it stands parked on the apron - with its sensors and openings covered. It is not a model in its own right but an accessory for a separately sold kit.
The MiG-23ML was a lightened and more capable version of the Soviet frontal fighter with a variable-geometry wing, widespread in the 1970s and 1980s with the air forces of the Warsaw Pact and of other countries. On parked machines the ground crew protected sensitive sensors and openings with covers carrying signal tags, which had to be removed before flight - hence the lettering Remove Before Flight. It is exactly these small things that give a model the authentic atmosphere of airfield operations.
Wash the castings in soapy water and separate them carefully from the casting blocks; protect your airways while sanding. Glue the covers with super glue (cyanoacrylate) only onto a finished, painted model. Spray or brush the tags in a bold red, and a fine dry brush will bring out the lettering. The effect comes into its own on a diorama base of an apron.
The accessory is supplied unpainted. The basic aircraft kit is not included in the package.
