This resin detail set contains a more accurate replacement for the radome, that is the dielectric cover of the nose antenna of the MiG-29A. It is intended as an improvement for MiG-29A Fulcrum models in 1:32 scale. It comes as a separate resin accessory, not as an aircraft kit.
The nose of the MiG-29 has a characteristic elongated conical shape that comes out inaccurately on some kits. A precisely cast radome improves the profile of the forward fuselage and the overall fidelity of the aircraft's silhouette. On the real aircraft, antennas of this type were linked to the onboard radar and the guidance equipment.
First wash the mold release residue off the part, cut it carefully from the casting block and sand the mating surface with respiratory protection. It is bonded with super glue (cyanoacrylate). A primer suitable for resin is recommended before painting.
The accessory is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and the base kit are not included in the package.
