1:32 Mirage 2000B cockpit is an add-on cockpit set for a model of the two-seat trainer version of the Mirage 2000 in the large 1:32 scale.

The set is not an aircraft kit but an interior accessory. It replaces the cockpit of a part-built model of the French Mirage 2000 fighter in the two-seat B version. On a model in a large scale the cockpit is the most closely watched place of all: with the canopy open, everyone who looks at the model from close up looks into it, so a more detailed treatment shows at once.
The Mirage 2000 is a French single-engine fighter with a tailless delta wing which from the 1980s formed the backbone of the French fighter force and won a number of foreign operators. The 2000B version is the two-seat trainer counterpart of the single-seat fighter version: it has a lengthened forward fuselage and two seats one behind the other so that an instructor can sit in the cockpit alongside the student. The inside of the cockpit is therefore laid out differently from the single-seat versions, and the shape of the canopy differs as well.
Paint and finish the cockpit completely before you close the fuselage, because after that no work inside it is possible. The base is a dark interior shade over which the edges and the raised controls are brought out with a dry brush; small switches and indicator lights come alive with dots of color laid on with the tip of a brush. Test the fit of the cockpit in the fuselage dry and level any overhang by sanding with your airways protected, so that the fuselage halves come together without being forced.
