A photo-etched set from Eduard meant for detailing the cabin interior of the American P-40B fighter in 1:32 scale. It is an aftermarket accessory, not an airplane kit; the metal parts replace and supplement the plastic features of a model. Eduard is a Czech maker from Obrnice near Most.
The set refines the instrument panel, the side consoles, the seat with its belts and further small features of the cabin that injection-molded plastic cannot capture with the needed fineness. A detailed interior stands out above all on a model with the canopy open.
The P-40 was an American single-engine fighter from the start of the Second World War, known from the fighting in the Pacific as well as North Africa. The early versions of the P-40B series were among the first production machines of this successful family.
Separate the parts with a sharp blade and make the bends precisely. Glue with super glue. Paint the unprinted surfaces in the colors of the cabin; the pre-printed features can be used directly.
