Responsibility details are not available.
A large injection-molded plastic kit of the American Curtiss P-40E Warhawk fighter in 1:32 scale from Hasegawa. It is a new mold with realistic surface detail, a richly broken-up cockpit and a pilot figure. The model allows the canopy to be built open or closed as you choose, and it is completed by an auxiliary fuel tank and bomb armament. Check the exact contents of the package and the markings against the manufacturer's part number for this item.
The P-40E was among the most widespread American fighters of the early part of the Second World War. It was powered by the liquid-cooled Allison V-1710 V12 engine and carried six large-caliber machine guns in the wings. It flew in the service of American air power, with the Flying Tigers volunteer group in China and with other Allied forces in the Pacific and North African theaters; in British service it carried the name Kittyhawk.
In the large 1:32 scale the detail of the cockpit stands out — paint it and bring it up before closing the fuselage. Glue the parts with thin cement for plastic, and glue the glazing with a cement intended for canopies. Worn Allied schemes are typical; the shark mouths on the nose cowling are famous too. After the gloss clear coat and the decals, bring up the panel lines with a wash and add service wear.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
