The P-40E Warhawk exhausts in 1:32 scale are resin replacement exhausts from Quickboost for a model of this American fighter.
Responsibility details are not available.
This resin accessory from the Quickboost brand brings precisely cast exhaust stubs for a model of the American Curtiss P-40E Warhawk fighter in 1:32 scale. It is not a kit but a replacement part that replaces the simplified exhausts from the box with truer castings with a fine surface and a suggested open outlet.
The P-40E was one of the main versions of the famous Warhawk, powered by a V12 Allison engine. Along the sides of the engine it carried rows of exhaust stubs, which are among the prominent details right in the line of sight toward the nose. A good casting with a realistic shape and an open outlet lifts the look of a finished model more than the smooth plastic parts from the box.
First wash the resin parts in lukewarm water with a drop of dish soap to deal with mold release residue. Cut off the casting blocks carefully with a saw or snap them off and sand the surfaces with respiratory protection. Bond the parts with super glue (cyanoacrylate). The exhaust outlets can be lightly drilled out for effect and picked out with dark metallic and rusty shades.
The accessory is supplied as a resin replacement part, unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and the model are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
