A resin figure of a pilot of American naval aviation in 1:32 scale from the production of the Czech manufacturer Plusmodel, intended above all for models of the legendary Vought F4U Corsair fighter. Beside the massive Corsair the figure shows the real size of the machine at once and turns a static model into a snapshot from a carrier deck or an island base.
The Vought F4U Corsair with its unmistakable bent wing was among the most famous American fighters of the Second World War, and in the Pacific it earned the respect of both sides. Its pilots, from the US Navy to the Marine Corps, wore the typical American flying kit: a khaki flight suit, a life vest, a leather or fabric flying helmet and a parachute harness. A well conceived figure carries these details over into a display case.
Wash the figure free of the mold release agent, cut the casting blocks off carefully and glue the parts with cyanoacrylate glue. After a primer, paint with acrylics for figures or in oils: a base tone, shadows in the folds, fine highlights on the edges. The khaki and olive shades of the kit contrast nicely with the dark blue Corsair; devote time to the face in 1:32 scale, as it is the main focus of the figure.
The figure is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
