1:32 PZL P.11c is in this item an Eduard photo-etched detail set for a model of the Polish fighter in 1:32 scale. These are metal parts to be glued into the model; a masking set of the same name is a different product.

This item belongs to the line of photo-etched detail sets of Eduard. It contains thin metal parts etched from brass sheet that are glued into the model permanently and replace or supplement simplified plastic shapes. Do not confuse it with the masking set that comes out under the same name and for the same subject: a mask is only an aid for painting and is removed once the work is done, whereas an etch stays part of the model. From the Brassin resin line the sheet differs in that it works in the flat and in the fold, not in volume.
The P.11c is a high-wing monoplane with an open cockpit and with exposed structure in places where later aircraft have covers. A viewer therefore looks straight at the instrument panel, the seat, the belts and the frame structure of the fuselage. Injection-molded plastic will always make these features too thick for the scale, because a mold needs a minimum wall thickness. Photo-etched sheet measures tenths of a millimeter and is the only technology that can manage a shape at such a thickness. In the large 1:32 scale the difference stands out especially.
Cut the parts off with a scalpel on a hard surface; scissors will deform the sheet. Degrease the sheet with alcohol before gluing and painting. Fold in a bending tool, evenly along the whole length on long parts. Briefly anneal harder pieces over a flame; the softer sheet then keeps its shape without springing back. Choose super glue and apply it in a minimal amount on the tip of a piece of wire. Start the painting with a primer intended for metal, otherwise the finish will chip off when handled. Belts and fine features are worth painting while still on the fret.
